2 AWARD NOMINATIONS 2010

3 King Street, Rothesay, on the Isle of Bute.
3 King Street, has been nominated in the Affordable Housing category of the Roses Design Awards. This is an award open for all new buildings in the UK outside London. There are only three shortlisted projects in this section and the competition is of a very high standard.

Tigh-Na-Cladach, Dunoon.
On the former Bethania site in Dunoon, now stands “Tigh-Na-Cladach” Scotland’s first passive housing project. Consisting of 14 affordable homes “Tigh-Na-Cladach” has been nominated for the 'small scale housing development' category in this year’s Saltire Society Housing Design Awards.

Lenny recently retired from John Brown (Strone) Ltd with over 20 years service as a Roofer. A presentation was made on behalf of the Company and his work colleagues at a retirement BBQ held at the Company’s Castle Street site in Rothesay, where homemade burgers were served courtesy of Girvie’s Grill.

National Quality Award

Ronnie Wilson Ronnie Wilson, Site Manager has been selected by the HNBC as a winner of a "Pride in the Job Quality Award" for his work on Bethania in Dunoon. The presentation is to take place on the 1st of October 2010.

The site is also in the running for a National Quality Award.
